Inspired by the gorgeous weather, I added a few Spring touches to the living room today. Normally, I embrace neutrals and accent them with a softer, coastal color pallet. But there is something about Springtime that compels me to embrace bolder color choices- this year, it is Navy with pops of yellow.
On the coffee table, I put together a small Spring vignette. Living with three young boys (and a husband who doesn't have the same appreciation for meticulously decorated spaces as I do) influences my design choices, as I need to be able to easily clear items off the table to make room for LEGO building, snacks, or the resting of growing feet. This rope handled cloche is a new addition to the shop, and I adore it. The large base (9" diameter) provides ample space to create a meaningful display, without being overwhelming in scale. And the rope allows me to grab it off the table in a pinch, without smudging the glass! :) I'm looking forward to styling it throughout the year. Everything looks better beneath a cloche!
On the couch, I added several new pillows in the same neutral/navy tones with varying sizes, textures, and patterns to add interest. I love mixing and matching pillows to create a fun and eclectic look, when it comes to good pillows, you can never have too many!
